The Guide comes with a specially designed kit of jewelers' tools which will enable you to roughly grade a diamond and differentiate a diamond simulant from a real diamond. |

A Pocket Loupe with 2x and 5x lenses which combine to make the 10x standard used in diamond grading. Plastic Tweezers, while not comparable to the precision steel tweezers used by the jeweler will none the less give you practice and confidence in handling a loose gem and thus prevent future frustration while participating in a diamond presentation. The plastic tips will guarantee that you cannot damage even the delicate points of a marquise cut diamond, or for that matter, any gemstone. A precision cut Cubic Zirconia which is D-E in color, for color comparison, and cut to nearly ideal proportions of a one carat diamond for cut comparison. The CZ has been inscribed on the table with Silverstar to prevent confusion with a real diamond. The inscription will also help you visualize table breaking inclusions that may be present in a natural diamond. A color grading V card which is made of high brightness 100% white paper which when combined with a color correct light source (more on that later) will give you the same tools used by a jeweler to color grade diamonds. A color reference sheet containing clarity, color, cut, and size information along with color grading samples and ideal cut proportions for round brilliant diamonds. A black and white sheet of cut proportion profiles that will assist in determining the critical crown and pavilion angles of a stone. The 90+ page book with the complete set of diamond specifications used for diamond grading and step by step procedures that will give you complete confidence in evaluating a diamond.
